High Tea on Queen Anne with Patricia Noble & ‘becca Flora - Saturday, March 7, 4:30-7pm

Join our middle school teachers Patricia Noble and ‘becca Flora for high tea at Queen Mary Tea Room. Afternoon tea will include mouthwatering desserts and an exquisite tea selection in a beautiful Victorian setting. We hope you will join us in a lovely afternoon to pause and enjoy the little things in life.


Mixology Lesson with Karen Zaidberg & Allisen Haworth  – Friday, April 17, 6:30-8pm

Middle School social studies teacher Karen Zaidberg will share her mixology expertise during an evening that will not disappoint. Gather with Karen (former professional bartender!) and Middle School English teacher Allisen Haworth to learn how to mix three cocktails paired with delectable appetizers. This would be the perfect start for a Friday date night! Hosted at the home of Overlake parents Drew and Carrie Steedly in Woodinville.


Artistic Conversations: Artists Speaking Across the Centuries with Army & Amanda Jones – Sunday, April 19, 11am-2pm

Discover the newly renovated and expanded Asian Art Museum with art history teacher and Overlake legend Bill “Army” Armstrong and history faculty and art enthusiast Amanda Jones. Army and Amanda will give guests a personal, guided tour of their favorite pieces and discuss the artwork’s historical significance and relevance. After exploring the 1933 Art Deco building in lush Volunteer Park, SAM’s original home, enjoy a delicious lunch at Monsoon in Capitol Hill.


 JM Cellars Wine Blending with Owners John and Peggy (’78) Bigelow – Saturday, April 25, 3-5pm

Back by popular demand! Hosted by the winemaker of this award-winning, alum-owned winery, this very special experience will begin with a tour of their new production facility and a tasting of several varietals in the room where their wines are made too. Learn the art and chemistry of blending wine, then try your hand and blend your very own bottle of wine, which will be custom labeled and bottled for you to take home that day. Do not let this opportunity pass you by! Please note the blending will take place at The Vault in their newly opened Maltby location.


Evening of Music with Overlake Music Department Faculty – Friday, May 8, 6:30-8:30pm

Join the Overlake music faculty for a special evening of music! We’ll have Erin Gabriel and Andy Jackson singing tunes from opera and musical theater, Mark Lotz with glorious violin solos, Steve Mraz sharing his trumpet talents, and guest performer Andy Carr on piano! Enjoy excellent music, food, and wine at the home of Randi Hedin and Andy Gardner in Woodinville. We look forward to spending this musical evening with you!


Architecture Tour of Capitol Hill with Award-Winning Mithun Architects – Saturday, May 16, 2-5pm

Enjoy a special opportunity to learn about Capitol Hill architecture and Seattle history on this unique walking tour led by architects from the nationally renowned firm Mithun (who designed our soon-to-open new Math & Sciences Center!). The two-hour walking tour will include Chapel of St. Ignatius at Seattle U and some of their favorite historic structures and art along the way. It promises to feature new places from last year. Tour is followed with libations and snacks at a fun watering hole. You won’t want to miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience!


Wood-Fired Pizza Dinner & Garden Tour at Carnation Farms - Sunday, May 31, 5-8pm

Enjoy an incredibly special dinner featuring wood-fired pizzas, crudités and dips, salad, desserts and a selection of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks in the magical setting of Carnation Farms’ garden (where much of the food will have been hand-picked for your meal!). Get a personal guided tour of the gardens and livestock to learn more about sustainable farming and supporting local food systems, with a breathtaking view of the sunset over the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley.


Backyard Party at Head Owl Matt Horvat’s Home  – Sunday, June 14, 4-7pm

Kick off the summer with a fun backyard party at the home of Head Owl Matt Horvat and his wife Susan! The fabulous al-fresco feast will have plenty of wonderful food from their favorite family recipes, delicious libations for everyone, and more. Come and join in the festivities, celebrate the end of the school year, and gather together for a great time!
