PFSA Leadership Opportunities 2020-21

The Overlake PFSA executive leadership team is comprised of parent volunteers who serve either a 1- or 2-year term, depending on position. Applications for PFSA leadership positions for the 2020-21 school year are due by April 1. In early April, the Nominating Committee meets to select the slate of nominees that will fill the open PFSA Board positions based on the applications received. Applicants will be notified of their application status in late April. If you are interested in participating in the Nominating Committee for the 2020-21 school year, or have any questions, please contact Steve Bush.

For the 2020-21 school year, 4 open positions need to be filled. These positions include:

  • First Vice President (1-year term)

    The First Vice President presides at meetings in the absence of the President, is an ex officio member of all committees, and performs all other duties as may be assigned by the President. The First Vice President will become the President of the PFSA at the end of the current President’s term.

  • Second Vice President (2-year term) 

    The Second Vice President(s) serve(s) as Grade Level Representative Coordinator(s) and perform(s) other duties that may be assigned by the President. There may be two Second Vice Presidents serving overlapping terms at one time.

  • Secretary (1- or 2-year term)

    The Secretary will keep a record of the proceedings of all meetings of the PFSA membership, will provide the President with a list of unfinished business, will attend to all correspondence of the PFSA, and will distribute copies of the previous membership meeting minutes to members before each meeting.

  • Treasurer (1- or 2-year term)

    The Treasurer will maintain an accounting of all funds of the PFSA and will authorize disbursements of funds.
