An Overlake School Community Celebration

Owls Night Out is a wonderful annual celebration that brings our community together for a fun and festive evening! It is the ultimate “night out” and a special chance to mix, mingle, enjoy delicious food and libations, be entertained, and join together in support of our amazing school. It’s the party of the year – you won’t want to miss it!
We are excited that this year’s Owls Night Out will be at the beautiful Carnation Farms on the Eastside. It is just 15 minutes from school and is a nod to our unique Overlake history, as our current campus was once a working ranch (the Tall Firs Ranch). Carnation Farms is owned by an alum family, which makes it all the more special.
While we are encouraging the use of rideshare options (Lyft, Uber, etc.) there is ample parking at the venue. Please follow signs and look for balloons to direct you to the parking. Shuttles will take guests to and from the parking area to the party venue itself (Carnation Farms’ beautiful Hippodrome).
We are also hoping to offer a shuttle from Overlake’s campus for those guests who prefer not to drive and park at Carnation Farms.

All current parents, faculty, staff, alumni, alumni parents, and friends of Overlake are invited to come celebrate and support Owls Night Out.
Guests must be age 21 and over. Only students who are performing and/or volunteering will be allowed access to the event.
Attire for this event is encouraged to be “festive casual” so all our guests can have fun and enjoy the evening, while also embracing the more rustic ambiance of Carnation Farms.
Yes, RSVPs are due by Friday, January 24.
Food & Drink
Carnation Farms will create a variety of delicious farm-to-table food stations with plenty of hearty vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, all prepared by a Michelin Award-Winning Chef.
Yes, a hosted bar with signature cocktails will be available throughout the evening.
To facilitate more conversations and socializing, Owls Night Out will not be a sit-down dinner. Throughout the event, guests will be able to gather at bistro tables and various seating areas as an option.
Donations, Sponsorship, & Payment
Yes. It is our tradition to include a special, one-time opportunity to participate in a Fund-a-Need paddle raise as part of Owls Night Out. More details will be shared soon.
Yes! We will have several exciting and unique Community Building Events that guests can sign up for during Owls Night Out. Similar to years past, these events are priced purely to cover their costs to keep them as accessible as possible. Here is a sneak preview of some Community Building Events that will be offered:
- Museum Tour & Lunch with Army and Amanda Jones
- Mixology Lesson with Karen Zaidberg & Allisen Haworth
- An Evening of Music with the Music Department Faculty
Please note that no refunds will be available for these Community Building Events so that we may cover our costs. Please make every effort to attend these special opportunities if you sign up. Thank you!
Yes, you can sponsor faculty/staff tickets under the Ticket Options section on the registration page. Thank you for your interest in helping to make this special event accessible and inclusive for our entire community. Every faculty and staff ticket sponsorship is a huge help for underwriting the event.
We are also currently soliciting businesses that would like to sponsor our event. If you know of a company that might be interested, please forward them our sponsorship information. You are also welcome to make an additional, optional donation during the registration process.
Guests are welcome to pay the night of Owls Night Out. There will be an optional check-out station available for your convenience. Alternatively, a staff member will follow up with you to receive payment.
If you cancel by January 24, you are eligible for a refund for tickets purchased – you can also choose to donate your ticket back to the school for use by a faculty or staff member. Cancellations after January 24 are non-refundable, as we will have committed to paying the caterer.
