McShan Reading Homeroom (MRH) for Refugee/Immigrant 1st-2nd Graders

If you can read, you can help! Come! Virtually Tutor a child in basic English phonics, reading, writing and reading comprehension.



WE ARE NOT A BILINGUAL PROGRAM. WE TEACH AND SPEAK ONLY ENGLISH, REGARDLESS OF THE ORIGIN OF THE STUDENT.



From SIGN UP through June 2021, devote 45 minutes to two hours one or more times each week, anytime between 7:30am and 2:50pm Monday through Sunday via Zoom during the pandemic, then in-person once school welcomes us back in-person.



You choose what time and which day of the week in concert with your assigned student's class schedule.

You will be most successful as a tutor if you will: .Secure a free gmail account, because our learning platform is Google-based .Have a computer with a web camera .Know a little about Zoom, but you do not require your own account, because we have one for you .Tutor one or more times each week 45 minutes to two hours, based on your student's skill level and focus
