Join us for a day on the water, combining fly fishing instruction with a scenic float trip down the Yakima River! This full-day guided experience is designed for students of all skill levels, from beginners to those with fly fishing experience.
The day begins with a dry-land casting lesson, where students will learn the fundamentals of fly fishing. We then transition to a guided fishing and float trip on a stunning stretch of the Yakima River. A specially designed casting station on the raft allows one student to fish at a time while others enjoy the river’s riparian beauty and the peaceful experience of floating through central Washington’s only Blue Ribbon trout stream.
Provided:
- Fly fishing gear (rods, reels, flies, etc.)
- Professional instruction and guided fishing experience
- Scenic rafting experience on the Yakima River
Students must bring:
- Packed lunch, water, and snacks
- Layers appropriate for weather conditions (windbreaker, warm clothing, sun protection)
This unique experience blends outdoor recreation, conservation awareness, and hands-on skill-building in one of Washington’s most scenic waterways.
If you missed a day of Project Week, this is a great opportunity to fulfill that requirement while enjoying an incredible outdoor adventure!
