
NOLS Wilderness First Aid Certification course
Prepare for the unexpected with this fun, hands-on introduction to wilderness medicine, taught over two days by our very own José González, Ed.D.- NOLS Instructor and EE Director.
You’ll learn the Patient Assessment System, how to provide effective first aid treatments for injuries and illnesses common in the outdoors, and how to make appropriate evacuation decisions.

You’ll learn both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather, so come prepared for wet, muddy or cold environments!
This course meets the American Camp Association 2012 Standards and the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid training requirements. It is approved by the United States Coast Guard to satisfy the first aid training requirements [46 CFR 11.205(e)(1)(i) &46 CFR 11.205(e)(2)(iv)] for a merchant mariner license.
Duration: 16 hours (8:00am-5:00pm, with one hour lunch)
Minimum age: 16 years old.
