Program Description:
This SUP class is designed to introduce students to the exciting sport of stand up paddleboarding in a fun and supportive environment. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this class will help you develop your skills, gain confidence on the water, and have fun with friends.
What You’ll Learn:
- Board & Paddle Nomenclature: Get familiar with the different parts of the board and paddle, understanding how they work together to keep you balanced and moving smoothly on the water.
- Basic Strokes & Maneuvers: Master the essential paddle strokes, including forward, reverse, turning strokes (sweeps) and cross nose draw, as well as key maneuvers to help you navigate the lake with confidence.
- Safety & Rescues: Learn the safety essentials for paddleboarding, including self-rescue techniques and how to assist others if needed.
- Games & Challenges: After practicing the basics, we'll put your skills to the test with some fun games on the water, designed to improve balance, coordination, and teamwork.
