We will learn basic sailboat handling skills, forming the foundation for a lifetime of sailing: How to rig, sail, knots, etc.  Lessons are taught on a traditional wooden sailboat. No experience necessary

The group will meet at the Center for Wooden Boats at 9:45am each day. Parents or guardians will pick up their students from the Center at 4 pm each day.

Daily Schedule: 

10:00 – Arrival, Opening 

10:30-12:30 - Knots, Rigging, Chalk Talk 

12:30-1:15pm Lunch 

1:15-1:45pm rigging, get ready to sail

1:45-3:00pm Sailing

3:00-3:15 docking

3:15-3:45 derig 

3:45-4:00 Debrief, goodbye 
 

  • NOTE: Life Jackets are provided and you will be required to wear one each day.
