Outdoor Trip Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation for an outdoor education trip, please contact Kent Renno, Director of Outdoor Education, as soon as possible. There is a lot of preparation that goes into each trip, including hiring outdoor instructors and/or other vendors from outside of Overlake. Because of this, we are implementing a cancellation charge. If you cancel less than 10 days before a trip, you will be charged the full trip cost (starting January 2020).

Exceptions

In the following circumstances, no charges will be made:

  • You can't attend due to medical reasons (with a doctor’s note)
  • Trips canceled due to low enrollment
  • Trips canceled due to weather conditions

* Offerings from outside vendors, such as the Wilderness First Aid class, will have different cancellation policies based on the organization running them

Billing

Charges will be made to student accounts after the trip.
