MS School Supply Lists

For PE, students dress down daily and “action” clothes are all that is required. Each week, students should bring tennis shoes, socks, shorts, a t-shirt, and sweatshirt to school and store them in individual lockers in the Field House. All new students will receive a lock through the PE Department, which they will use throughout their Overlake PE experience.

Students should bring:

(On the first full day, Monday, August 29)

  • 12 #2 pencils to be shared communally
  • 12 or 24 set colored pencils 
  • Mead 1.5” Round Ring Tech Zipper Binder, 5 Star: available at Staples and Office Depot or online at OfficeSupply.com

Overlake will provide:

(During the first week of school)

  • Binder subject dividers
  • Pencil Pouch
  • Eraser
  • Highlighter
  • Fine-tipped Sharpie
  • Green correcting pen
  • Post-It notes
  • 6-inch ruler

These items are available year-round at the student store. Students are asked to replenish these supplies as needed throughout the year.

Students should bring:

  • 1 pencil pouch or box to keep it all together
  • Colored pen for self-scoring work
  • 1 pack of colored pencils
  • Black and blue fine-point sharpies
  •  3 dry erase thin markers
  • Post-It Notes
  • Backpack labeled with student’s name (please be mindful that bags should fit inside cubbies)
  • 1 heavy duty 1 ½” binder containing college ruled paper (labeled with your name) with 10 dividers (shared for science and English)
  • One 1/2” binder (for math)
  • Wide-ruled composition notebook for English (9 ¾” x 7 ½”)
  • Two spiral-bound 70-100 page, wide-ruled, notebooks (for math and social studies)
  • 2 two-pocket folders without prongs (for math and social studies)
  • Large eraser
  • A couple packages of sharpened #2 pencils
  • Headphones
  • PE Supplies: athletic clothes and shoes
  • *World languages teachers will share information about supplies on the first day of classes. Most language teachers require a 1” binder with dividers. 

 

Students should bring:

  • Calculator with square root key
  • Straight-edge (at least 5 inches long)
  • Graph paper (for Math)
  • 1 large or 2 small binders with dividers that can be shared among classes (i.e. science and math in one binder)
  • Post-it flags (for English)
  • Highlighters in various colors
  • Pens, pencils, erasers
  • 12 fine-tipped colored pens or pencils (for Social Studies)
  • Lined paper

  • Algebra 1b: notebook preferably with GRID paper
  • Geometry: notebook preferably with GRID paper
  • Calculator: simple 4 function is fine
  • Straight-edge
  • 3-ring binder (for Science)
  • Small sticky notes (like Post-Its) in various colors
  • Highlighters in various colors
  • Pens, pencils, erasers
  • Lined paper
