Doors to Discovery Campaign Update - May 27

Ed & Cecilia Whatley

As we wind down the school year, a special thank you again to everyone who has invested so generously in our financial aid endowment, the current strategic priority of our Doors to Discovery capital campaign. Research (including Forbes, Harvard Business Review, McKinsey, and more) shows that the best decisions happen when people come together from diverse backgrounds. Increasing the socioeconomic diversity at Overlake will not only transform the lives of students who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend this incredible school, it will deepen the teaching and learning experience for all our Owls.

We believe in the financial aid program because making Overlake’s great education accessible to others is the right thing to do. Education is an investment in the future....and our hope for the future includes the broadest educational reach possible regardless of income, ethnicity, or whether you're the first person in your family to go to college. Everybody benefits from being part of a diverse community.
