At Overlake, we view well-being as a connected ecosystem of five essential dimensions we call SPACE. Our School Counselors champion our students, providing supportive services that help them thrive both academically and personally. We extend this support to families, too, offering resources through our ParentNet community and parent seminars. Counselors build connections across campus—think classrooms, homerooms, community gatherings, and school-wide events—creating a “nest of care” that welcomes everyone. We take a two-pronged approach: responding quickly when needs arise, and proactively addressing typical challenges our young owls face as they spread their wings and navigate the process of growing up.

At Overlake, our Learning Support team is on hand to help every single student soar. We provide academic support tailored to individual learning profiles, and we partner with teachers and parents to create a complete support network. Our goal is simple: help students develop the independent learning skills they need to succeed in their own way, on their own terms.
Whether through one-on-one coaching, small group work, or grade-level activities, we meet students where they are, not where society tells them they should be. For students with documented disabilities, our Learning Specialists will collaborate with families and teachers to implement appropriate accommodations that help every young learner prosper.
