At The Overlake School, we respect your privacy and are committed to transparency in how personal information is collected and used. While Overlake is a nonprofit educational institution—not a commercial business—we provide this page in alignment with privacy best practices.

1. Overlake Does Not Sell Personal Information

Overlake does not and will not sell personal information, including student, parent/guardian, alumni, donor, or employee information.

We do not exchange personal information for money, marketing benefits, or commercial gain.

Any information collected is used solely to support:

  • Educational programs and student well-being

  • Admissions and enrollment processes

  • Institutional operations

  • Safety and security

  • Technological and administrative functions

2. When Information May Be Shared

Consistent with our handbooks, information may be shared only:

  • With trusted service providers supporting school operations (under confidentiality obligations)

  • When required by law

  • To protect the safety, rights, or integrity of our community

We do not allow third parties to reuse or resell data for unrelated purposes.

3. Your Rights & Requests

Although Overlake does not sell data, you may request to:

  • Confirm that your information is not sold

  • Know how your information is used

  • Request correction or deletion when permissible

  • Ask questions about data handling

Some records, particularly student educational records, must be retained under school policy or law and cannot be deleted.

4. How to Submit a Request

To submit a “Do Not Sell My Information” request or inquire about data practices, contact the School at questions@overlake.org or 425-868-1000. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We may revise this notice periodically. Changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above.
