Giving bold dreamers the tools they need to roam free and spread their wings—this is life at Overlake.

Step into a world where stories unfold in brilliant, unexpected ways.

Life at Overlake isn't confined to classroom walls—it spills onto our trails, echoes in our hallways, and blooms in those magical moments when students discover something new (and rewarding) about themselves.

Here, they’re free to try on different hats: today an artist… tomorrow a scientist… next week an athlete. We build spaces where friendships take root and grow into relationships that endure well after graduation.

We believe in the strength of balance: challenging academics that make minds tick, alongside adventures that make hearts sing. Because we're not just preparing students for college acceptance letters, we're walking alongside them as they become who they're destined to be.

Our Advisory Program

An incubator for growing in every direction.

Think of an advisory group as a nest within our larger Overlake community—a place where students find their people. Led by a faculty guide dedicated to their journey, this advisory group becomes their go-to crew to share in the big victories and the tough days.

From age-appropriate chats on managing schedules, to navigating the impact of AI, to making sense of current events in the world, bright minds develop rich social-emotional skills. Advisors become champions—helping students pick classes that light them up, set goals that stretch them further, and find support when they need a boost.

In this trusted circle, students are never just a face in the crowd; they’re seen, known, and valued for exactly who they are. As the years unfold, these relationships become some of the most meaningful cornerstones of their adventures at Overlake.

Our Academic Teams

Where bright minds and big hearts take flight.

If your child’s ready to stretch their thinking beyond the everyday norm, our academic teams are where they’ll find their intellectual tribe. Whether they’re building robots that solve real-world problems, quick-firing answers in Quiz Bowl, or finding their voice in Speech & Debate, students discover challenges that light up their curiosity.

These aren't just clubs; they're adventures where ideas are tested, victories are celebrated together, and bumps along the way trigger growth. The best part is that students develop skills that stick with them long after they graduate.

I like Booming Business & Investment Club, as well as sports. I am part of three sports teams here - our Ultimate Frisbee, Baseball, and Basketball teams. And the communities I have formed through that really allowed me to gain friends throughout the school.

Every two years Overlake offers an All-School musical where students from 5th through 12th grades get to participate and be part of a really amazing production. I've done two All-School musicals. I was in Matilda and Shrek.

My old school didn't have any sports. Even in PE we only did basketball for the whole year, while now I get to rotate from volleyball, cross country, soccer, basketball, and much more.

Our Campus

A 75-acre wonderland where the evergreens whisper and the outdoors become the classroom.

Step foot onto our campus and feel it immediately—this place sings. Our evergreens create natural hideaways and invite impromptu gatherings, with winding trails connecting them all together. Here, learning isn’t contained to the classroom—it spills outdoors where students sketch under trees, debate by buildings, and ponder within our forestry.

Overlake’s 2025-26 tuition for all grades is $48,489—but don't let that number stop your child from spreading their wings. We believe every promising young owl deserves a nest at Overlake, which is why we've created flexible payment options and a robust financial aid program for deserving families.

If you're wondering whether Overlake is even within reach, we encourage you to apply. The richness of our community comes from having students from all walks of life learning side by side. We're committed to welcoming bright minds who show promise, passion, and character—regardless of their family's financial situation.

Last year, we awarded over $1.8M in need-based financial aid to help families join our community. Our support is based purely on financial need (not merit or athletics); we believe in opening doors rather than building barricades.

Beyond covering tuition, our financial aid program helps ensure every student can fully participate in everything that makes Overlake special—from field trips to project supplies. We want everyone to experience the complete Overlake adventure, not just parts of it.

Have questions about making Overlake work for your family? Reach out anytime—we're here to help you see if our school’s the best fit for your child.

Music

From your child’s first day at Overlake, they’ll hear music flowing through our hallways. Our 5-12 grade program invites every student to find their voice—whether that's through choir, band, or orchestra. Imagine your young one performing at festivals both close to home and across oceans, sharing their passion with new audiences and bringing those experiences back to our nest.

CHOIR

Our singers not only perform at seasonal concerts—they become the soul of our community during school assemblies and those special moments when grandparents and friends visit campus. And when they're ready to spread their wings, our Overlake vocalists step into competitions where they can shine alongside peers from across the region.

BAND & ORCHESTRA

From students picking up their first instrument to experienced musicians diving into jazz improv or chamber orchestra, there's a musical path for everyone here. Our young musicians regularly test their talents in (friendly) competitions, returning with both ribbons and stories to share.

Theater

Theater at Overlake is more than memorizing lines, it's where students discover parts of themselves they never knew existed. Whether your child dreams of the spotlight or prefers the allure of behind-the-scenes work, they'll find their place in our theater family. From reimagining classics to creating bold new works, our young thespians learn to take creative risks in a nest that encourages them to fly. When they're ready, competitions become the perfect stage to showcase their growing confidence and skills.

Visual Arts

Art at Overlake spills beyond classroom walls. Young artists get their feet wet in everything from traditional studio techniques to digital photography and experimental design. Picture your child's pride seeing their artwork displayed in our outdoor gallery, brightening the Campus Center, or welcoming guests at the Fulton Performing Arts Center—visual proof of their creativity taking flight.
