This trip has now been changed to a one day snow camping skills class.  We will head up to Snoqualmie Pass, snowshoe in a ways, and learn about the skills needed to build snow caves and igloos, and spending the day creating these.  We will return to Overlake by 4pm on Friday.

This trip will explore an area near Steven's Pass. We will be snowshoeing and carrying packs so we will not be traveling long distances (2 miles at most per day). There will be plenty of time to travel into the campsite and set up camp. Depending on the weather conditions there may be the opportunity to learn how to build snow caves. Participants will learn winter camping, basic avalanche awareness, and snowshoeing skills. On Saturday, we will go for a long tour without the big packs. No experience is necessary.

Destination: On Friday, we will meet at Overlake and drive over Stevens Pass.

Overlake will provide all food, snowshoes, and tents.

Please let me know if you need to borrow a backpack, sleeping bag, or sleeping pad.

Everyone will need to print out, sign, and bring the Permission Form the first day
