7th/8th Grade Social Event Set for Friday, February 2

The second 7th and 8th grade ASB social event of the school year will take place on Friday, February 2 from 7:00-9:00pm in the Campus Center.

The Middle School ASB has elected to move away from the pure “dance” to more of a “party” dynamic for this event. The theme is “Awards Show After Party,” and will have music and dancing alongside a series of fun games with winners announced Academy Awards style at the end of the night. I’m not sure that actual award show after parties include games of Spoons and a hula hoop contest, but ours will.

Dress for the evening is fun and casual; students should not need to go out and buy anything special to wear for the occasion. Middle school students do not typically "ask" other students to the dance or come with a date- everyone just shows up and has fun together. There is no charge for the event. Please help us keep these events low-key by limiting big group dinners and that kind of thing beforehand. We want these events to be low stress and accessible for all.

Parents should drop off students in the upper parking lot at the beginning of the event, but walk down to the Campus Center to pick up students at the end so that we can make sure everyone gets home safely.
