Rally for Relief Volleyball Benefits Hurricane Victims

Monday evening, the Overlake community displayed how you can make a difference and have fun at the same time.

Working with Overlake's Athletic Club (OAC), the Girls' Volleyball team held a fundraising effort for Travis Elementary in Port Arthur, Texas. Hurricane Harvey damaged the school, and many homes were flooded or had wind damage.

That's where Overlake comes in.

Titled Rally for Relief, fans purchased tickets and made donations for the Texas school as they begin the rebuilding process. Over 18-hundred dollars was collected during silent auctions and raffle ticket sales.

Players wore t-shirts for the event, and both the JV and Varsity teams won their games.

As Texas communities begin the rebuilding process, Overlake is helping out. Thanks to everyone who joined us and to all the volunteers who helped make Rally for Relief a success.
