Overlake Pitcher Throws Perfect Game

Baseball Team

Overlake’s Baseball team captured the Emerald City League title in style Wednesday night with a 6-0 win over University Prep.

More impressive was how the team did it.

Junior Bryce D. threw a perfect game by shutting down all 21-batters he faced. The left hander needed only 79-pitches for the complete game win. It’s the first time that an Overlake pitcher has thrown a perfect game.

As a team, Mike Davidson’s Growls haven’t lost a league game in five years!

With five games this week, the team is heading into the playoffs with lots of momentum.

There’s not much time for rest. The team takes to the diamond this afternoon with a game against 3A Seattle Prep. Senior Ryan L. is on the mound with first pitch at 3:30pm at Marymoor Park.

Come on out and cheer on your Growls!
