Overlake Hosts First Tech Challenge Sunday

Take a break from Pro football and check out some real high tech action and skills this Sunday.

Our Overlake robotics team participates in the FIRST Tech Challenge.  Each year a new challenge is released and teams around the world work to design build and program a robot to solve the challenge.  The challenge this year is called “Skystone” and involves designing a robot to stack the over-sized lego bricks that you see in the Campus Center.  Here is a video of the game release.  Since September 7, the robotics students have been working after school in the Campus Center to create their robot. 

This coming Sunday 11/3, we will host our first league competition in the new Gym.  There are approximately 16 local teams in our league and we will play in 5 matches.  If you are interested in watching and cheering on some Overlake students, come to the gym on Sunday at noon.  The matches should finish by about 4pm.
