The Middle School ASB invites all 7th and 8th grade students to the first dance of the year on Friday, November 16.  The dance will be held in the Campus Center from 7:00-9:00pm.  The theme for the dance is "Black and White"- students are invited to put together a fun outfit using those colors.  Students usually dress informally for middle school dances (no need to buy anything!).  The dance will be chaperoned by 7th and 8th grade advisors and Mr. Davidson.

Parents can drop students off in the upper parking lot for the dance, but we do ask parents to come to the Campus Center at 9:00 to pick up your student.  Middle school dances are designed to be low-stakes, low-anxiety opportunities to socialize and have fun with classmates.  Please help with this approach by limiting any parent-sponsored activities before the dance like big dinners, as the difficulty including all members of a grade causes unnecessary drama and hurt feelings.  There will be music and dancing, as well as games and other activities for students who want to come but are less into dancing.

There is no additional cost for students attending the dance.  We hope that our 7th and 8th graders will join us for a fun night on the 16th!  If you want to mark your calendars in advance for the other dances this year, they will be help on February 1 and May 9.
