An Overlake School Community Celebration

What is the time of the event?

The celebration will commence at 6:30 pm and conclude at 10:30 pm.

Is there an RSVP deadline?

Yes, RSVPs are due by Friday, March 8.

Can I sponsor a faculty/staff ticket?

Yes, you can sponsor faculty/staff tickets under the Ticket Options section on the registration page. Thank you for your interest in helping to make this special event accessible and inclusive for our entire community. Every faculty and staff ticket sponsorship is a huge help for underwriting the event.

What are the parking options?

There may be some street parking available, but due to ongoing construction in the area, availability and locations may change. With that in mind, we encourage you to consider carpools and ride shares.

If you decide to drive or carpool, please note that you can self-park at the AGC building located at 1200 Westlake Ave N. near MOHAI. AGC charges a flat rate of $10. We will have a complimentary Overlake shuttle service for those who park at the AGC building – our wonderful Director of Transportation Bill Neil and bus drivers will be your chauffeurs in our Overlake fleet!

To help us coordinate the Overlake shuttles, please indicate your transportation plans on the Owls Night Out registration page.

Where do I indicate my seating preferences?

To facilitate more conversations and socializing, Owls Night Out will not be a sit-down dinner. Throughout the event, guests will be able to gather at bistro tables and various seating areas as an option.

What is the menu?

Kaspars Catering will create a variety of delicious food stations with plenty of hearty vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. View the menu here.

Will there be a hosted bar?

Yes, a hosted bar will be available throughout the evening. This year, we plan to have two bars: one in the Grand Atrium and one in the Lakefront Pavilion.

How are the costs of the event covered?

We are currently soliciting businesses that would like to sponsor our event. If you know of a company that might be interested, please forward them the sponsorship information found here.

Can I bring my student to Owls Night Out?

Guests must be age 21 and over. Only students who are performing and/or volunteering will be allowed access to the event.

Will I have access to the MOHAI exhibits?

Guests will have access to all permanent museum exhibits on the night of the event. The Walker Gallery which houses MOHAI’s temporary/special exhibit will be closed.

What is your ticket refund policy?

If you cancel by March 8, you are eligible for a refund for tickets purchased. Cancellations after March 8 are non-refundable, as we will have committed to paying the caterer.

Will there be an MC?

Yes! Andy & Jacqui Jackson will be our wonderful MCs for the short program portion of the evening.

What will be the entertainment?

The evening’s entertainment will feature a variety of faculty/staff and student musicians. We are excited to showcase the incredible talents within our community. You will not want to miss out on the live entertainment and then DJ to dance the night away!

Will there be a Fund-a-Need item this year?

Yes. There will a special, one-time opportunity to participate in Overlake’s “Going Green for the Gold” sustainability initiatives. More details will be shared soon. In the meantime, please note that the paddle raise will once again include the following levels:

  • $5,000
  • $2,500
  • $1,000
  • $500
  • $250
  • $100
Will there be Community Building Events as in years past?

Yes! We will have several exciting and unique opportunities offered as Community Building Events. Similar to years past, these events are priced purely to cover the cost of the event, no profit is expected from these opportunities. Here is a sneak preview of some Community Building Events that will be offered: Museum tour & lunch with Bill "Army" Armstrong and Amanda Jones, and Paint & Sip with Dana Len. In addition, Kent Renno and Joey Pauley will offer a fun rock-wall climbing activity in the Field House, followed by a tour and tasting at a local Redmond brewery. Please note that no refunds will be available for these Community Building Events so that we may cover our costs. Please make every effort to attend these special opportunities if you sign up. Thank you!

Additionally, we will have our beautiful 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book for sale for $50 each. These coffee table books are sure to be collector’s items!

How can I pay for any items I purchase?

Prefer not to receive multiple emails? Pay the night of Owls Night Out! This year there will be an optional check-out station available for your convenience. Alternatively, a staff member will follow-up with you to receive payment.
