Join us for a week of hiking! Each day we will hike to a different location, exploring the trails to lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and mountain tops in the Cascades. Students will learn about each location, how to read maps and make navigation decisions, Leave No Trace skills, and will have a chance to slow down and enjoy being outside with friends.

Food: Students will provide their own lunch, water, and snacks each day.

Equipment: Download the Hiking Packing List.

Registration and Cost: This camp is a one-week, full-day (8:30-3:30) experience. Due to the unique nature of this camp, it costs $390. When registering, students will be asked to provide second choices for on-campus camps (morning and afternoon) that take place that week in case the camp does not have enough registrations to happen.

Please contact Kent Renno (425-868-6191 x631, or cell 425-495-2922) with any questions.

Spend the week in the great outdoors, as we learn outdoor education skills and plan a backpacking trip in the Cascades. Monday through Wednesday, students will be on campus learning how to light stoves, set up tents, filter water, map and coordinate their route, plan and shop for their meals, and learn basic wilderness first aid training. Wednesday afternoon, the group will head out to car camp near the trailhead. Thursday, they will head into the mountains for an overnight backpacking trip. On Friday the group will hike back out to the trailhead and head home.

Food: Students will provide their own lunch Monday through Wednesday. We will shop for all the food for Wednesday night through Friday. We have enough variety to accommodate vegetarians but please let us know if you have special dietary needs.

Equipment: We provide tents, cooking stoves and pots. We can also provide a backpack, sleeping bag and pad, if needed. Download the Backpacking Gear List.

Registration and Cost: This camp is a one-week, full-day (8:30-3:30) experience with an overnight component on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Due to the unique nature of this camp, it costs $460. When registering, students will be asked to provide second choices for on-campus camps (morning and afternoon) that take place that week in case the camp does not have enough registrations to happen.
