2nd Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk
The OWLS course is freshly manicured and ready for your feet. Come out and travel the trails with us as part of the 5K Run or Walk!
The event is open to all members of the Overlake community—past and present, young and old, fast and . . . not as fast.
Not only will you have the chance to soar around Overlake's beautiful campus, but you'll get to do so in style: whether you run or walk, each participant will receive a pair of Overlake Fun Run Sunglasses!

8:30am - Check-in begins
9:30am - First flight of runners begins
9:35am - Second flight of runners begins
9:45am - Walkers begin
10:15am - Kids race begins (for participants under age six)
Registration
Registration is $20 per person or $50 for a family. Kids under 10 are free!
In order to be included in the official timing of the race, you must register by September 10. If you register after September 10 you will still be able to run, but are not guaranteed to be timed.
Additionally, those who register before September 10 are guaranteed a pair of Fun Run Sunglasses on race day!
Course Description
The course will start on the lower soccer fields and make its way around parts of the entire OWLS trail system (view the Run Map). It is quite steep in places; participants will be traveling from the lowest point on campus to the highest point, and back again.
Most of the trails are bark, but there are sections where runners will be on pavement. Runners will cover approximately 5K while walkers will do a route of about 3K.
Timing and Results
The race will be officially timed, and kilometer markers will be posted along the race route.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for the top three males and females in three categories—Middle & Lower School division, Upper School division, and Adult division. There will be additional prizes in other categories, and individual/group challenges are encouraged, so put a team of 5+ members together and challenge someone to a race!
Parking and Gear
Parking will be available on campus, but participants may need to walk down from the upper lots.

- After completing the form and hitting submit, you will be taken to a confirmation page. You will then have the option of registering additional family members or proceeding to the payment page.
- Proceed to the payment page and select your registration type—individual or family. You will then be redirected to pay securely through PayPal.*
