Tuition / Financial Aid

Thank you for considering The Overlake School!

Qualified students should not be discouraged from applying to Overlake for financial reasons.  In large part due to the generosity of parents and alumni, Overlake is able to offer financial assistance to families who could not otherwise afford the tuition.

Our philosophy is that our community’s strength depends upon our ability to attract a student body from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Overlake is committed to enrolling those students who have shown achievement and promise in scholarship, leadership and character, regardless of financial need.
Each year, The Overlake School Board of Trustees approves a financial assistance program to offer need-based grants to students who qualify for financial aid. This year Overlake has awarded nearly $1,200,000 in need-based financial aid and scholarships to 18% of our enrollment.

Families receiving tuition assistance pay an enrollment deposit of approximately 1% of the total tuition. The enrollment deposit is applied to the total tuition bill and is nonrefundable. Most families receiving tuition assistance elect to pay their tuition using the 10-payment schedule shown on the enrollment agreement. The average financial aid (FA) grant for this year is $12,169 covering 45% of tuition. Tuition grants awarded this year range from $1,250 to $26,856. Unlike loans, financial aid grants do not have to be repaid.
