Overlake Friends of the Arts
Over 300 students participate in Overlake's art classes and the program is growing. Arts build essential skills, teach discipline, provide leadership roles, develop individual creativity, and enable students simply to have fun. Overlake Friends of the Arts (OFTA) provides volunteer and financial support for all the arts programs at The Overlake School. Band, choir, drama, industrial and visual arts benefit from OFTA's support.
What do OFTA volunteers do?
- Raise funds to provide extras for the arts
- Provide refreshments for concerts, plays, and events
- Help with publicity, photography, and transportation
- Organize work parties to build sets and sew costumes
- Assist arts faculty members wherever needed
